× When Things Get Weird with Kathleen Taylor and Tiffany Ford, 3:00pm - 5:00pm

($5 suggested donation to support the AS Sponsor-A-Student financial aid program)

We’ve all been there. That moment when you or your scene partner says something you wish you could erase – something that alienates the audience and/or the players. Maybe it’s an offensive accent, a poorly timed sex joke, an uncomfortable physical interaction – the list goes on. Sometimes it’s organic, and can be fun for the team to find a way beyond. Regardless of how you find yourselves in this moment, can you find a place of agreement where the team feels safe to explore, yet not limited? How do you stay in tune with each other and your audience? Improv can be sensitive, elevating, AND funny when we practice ongoing awareness. In this workshop we’ll explore questions and conversations to have with your team, offer some language to help start discussions, and some exercises that help us stay connected, present, and comfortable even when outside our comfort zone. Elevate your artistry and your team; create an environment where we can freely play. #StayWoke
