× Take a bite out of the “Big Apple” with the multi-talented Matthew McGee and Whitney James as they pay tribute to New York City. McGee and James join forces marrying classic songs from the worlds of musical theatre and jazz in this intimate cabaret setting as they honor “The City That Never Sleeps”. Songs to be performed by the duo will include New York State of Mind, How About You?, New York, New York, The Great City, Manhattan Avenue and more! McGee and James will be accompanied by Alejandro Arenas on bass and Mark Feinman on drums (of La Lucha), Simon Lasky on piano and Cathy Lopez on saxophone.

Matthew McGee has been performing for over 20 years as an actor and drag artist. His irreverent drag style is a mix of high camp and 1960's Hollywood cocktail party glamour. As an actor, Matthew has appeared in musicals and plays in and out of drag. He has received numerous awards and accolades including's Favorite Leading Actor in a Musical, Theatre Tampa Bay Award winner for both Leading and Featured Actor in a Musical and has been voted Best Local Drag Performer in Creative Loafing's Best of The Bay issue (2012, 2017, 2018). In drag, Matthew has hosted numerous charity events and is a on air guest-host on Daytime NBC and Suncoast View. Matthew's drag work has been so popular in the Bay area that he is affectionately known as "Tampa Bay's favorite Clown in a Gown" Matthew can be seen in the independent films Small Group and Waiting on Mary (available on iTunes).
